It was a Wednesday morning around the world, when suddenly … Facebook changed Everything ! Users of the social networking site seemed to be overwhelmingly upset with the new changes, and updates of status layouts. A source tells us that it was just the beginning of an all new Facebook look.
With more than 750 million users, the social media giant redesigned its news feed. A live news ticker is now available as well as larger photos.
A trending topic on Twitter, it was clear many of those users were suddenly angry. The news feed includes
You see, we use Facebook to keep us connected to our family, our friends and current events. We’ve developed an almost personal relationship with our Facebook so when Wednesday’s change happened with little notice, it upset many.
“We’re constantly working to make facebook better, and we’re gathering and evaluating feedback on all of our products and will continue to make improvements over time,” Facebook said in a statement to ABC.
Facebook says is plans to announce even more changes Thursday. Those changes are said to appeal more to the emotions of its users.
It’s set to announce the changes at its f8 conference in San Francisco.
Here’s what Mashable’s Ben Parr said about the changes, “I have seen what Facebook is launching on Thursday, and it’s going to change the world of social media. And while I won’t talk about the mind-boggling things Facebook will be launching, I will say this: The Facebook you know and (don’t) love will be forever transformed. The news that will come out of Facebook during the next few weeks will be the biggest things to come out of the company since the launch of the Facebook Platform.”It’s a relationship gone stale. According to Mashable, users will be shellshocked once the changes take effect.
