Almost everyday this is coming up on the news — Again, another teacher arrested for Sexting with a 15 Year Old student — Rhonda Ford, a Clayton Public School teacher, turned herself in to authorities Sunday on complaints of sexual misconduct with a student. According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Ford, 29, was booked into the Pushmataha County Jail on complaints that ranged from lewd or indecent acts with a child under 16 to second-degree rape.
OSBI began an investigation March 14 after allegations surfaced that Ford was having a sexual relationship with one of her 15-year-old students.
The victim admitted to having sex with Ford on at least 10 occasions at her home.
OSBI says Ford is also accused of providing alcohol to the teen and other children.
A warrant for her arrest was issued last week.
Ford is charged with one count of lewd or indecent acts with a child under 16, four counts of rape in the second-degree, four counts of sodomy and three counts of permitting invitees under 21 to possess or consume alcohol.
Ford resigned her teaching position with Clayton High School. She had been employed there for about a year.
Ford had previously been employed as a high school English teacher at Cleveland Public Schools from Aug. 2009 to Jan. 2010.
